Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Fuji Recipe Lab (“the app”) is an independent app for owners of Fujifilm cameras. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FUJIFILM Corporation. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Summary

The app does not collect personal data. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not send your data to the developer or to any server.

Data that stays on your device

  • Recipes, edits, and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • Camera settings backups you capture are saved in the app’s local storage and are only written to your camera when you explicitly confirm a restore.
  • Photos and RAW files you import or download from your camera are stored locally. When you choose “Save to Photos”, the app adds the selected images to your Photos library; it requests add-only access and cannot read your library.

Data shared with your camera

  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connect directly to your own Fujifilm camera to read and change its settings, remote-control it, and transfer images. This traffic stays between your device and your camera.
  • Location: if you turn on location sync, the app reads your device’s location and sends it to your camera so the camera can geotag photos. Location is not stored by the app beyond the latest value, and it is never sent anywhere else. You can turn it off at any time in the app or in system Settings.

Apple services

If you install the app through TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may collect crash reports and diagnostics according to your device settings and Apple’s own privacy policy. The developer only sees what Apple shares through App Store Connect.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same address with a new date.
